From left to Right: J.C., Lance, Chris, Joey, and Justin

Hi folks, this is Jaymee back here, taking up some more room on the net. To tell you a little bit about one of the most famous pop bands in the United States today, 'N Sync.

I remember the very first time I heard 'N Sync. I was in the second week of February of 1998. With the U.S. debut single: "I Want You Back". Now I'll be honest and 'N Sync Lovers, don't kill me, I thought they were the Backstreet Boys. But I learned shortly there-after that it wasn't BSBs, but a group by the name of 'N Sync. And in all reality, it's easy to confuse the two the first time around. At the time, The Backstreet Boys single #3: "Everybody" was storming U.S. radio charts. I would remember sitting dow in my kitchen at like 12 am in the morning and listen to 'N Sync's single over and over, to the point that I would need to tape it again due to stretched tape. (Go Figure) And I commonly mis-spelled 'N Sync with "In Sync".

But at the time, 'N Sync had not grabbed me yet, I was still heavily into the Backstreet Boys... and I hope all 'N Sync fans can forgive me. It took me from February to June to get into an 'N Sync mode.

I remember laying up one morning about 5 am, and I was watching The Box. The comes on the new video for 'N Sync's new single: "Tearin' Up My Heart." I got up and paid attention to it...and loved it, and wondered how I would get my hands on that song, having completely forgotten that I had brought the 'N Sync album the month before... That's how "Out Of Sync" I was. I forgot I had the album. Then it dawns on me, "Hey, I own this song already!!" So ever since then I have been "'N Sync". In fact, I have hardly touched my BSBs album since June. Imagin that! 'N Sync's new single: "God Must've Spent A Little More Time On You" makes me warm all over. I heard it for the first time on MTV's 'N Sync special. You couldn't pry me away from this men if you tried!!!

Now you may have heard stories about 'N Sync, that they are just another Backstreet Boys. True, we can't blame you for thinking that, after all the Backstreet Boys and 'N Sync were both managed by the same man, Johnny Wright, both groups come from Orlando, Floria, both group have simuliar age differences: 17-27, and both groups made it big overseas before beginning their music home to the United States. Even the Backstreet Boys accused their Wright of trying to replicate thier stardom with another five-male-group. But girls, and guys too, come on, lets be serious. The Backstreet Boys may have almost every detail of their beginning the same as 'N Sync's but when you put these men together, there is nothing the "same" about them.

'N Sync gained their own success, not from the BSBs. Both groups have excellent voices and performs wonderful shows, but 'N Sync's fame came from 'N Sync alone. Maybe it's just fate that they are fighting over the number 1 video on MTV's Total Request show, but if Backstreet Boys were just another "New Kids On The Block", they would have never achieved the success they have gotten, nor if 'N Sync were just like another Backstreet Boys, they wouldn't have their debut album higher than the Backstreet Boy's debut album on the Top Billboard 200 chart. So read this web page without prejudice, and at the end you will see that'N Sync, like there competition, the BSBs, earned their well-deserved success.

The probably the most amazing story I have ever heard about these fabulous five getting together.

Each of the five men were born and raised in different states but all managed fine themselves in Orlando, Florida. A simularity to the Backstreet Boys. Each of the five knew they had a deep love for music, much like the author of this page. The five knew they had the courage to display it whenever possible.

Chris Kirkpatrick had the idea of wanting to start his own band, his love for music was incrediable and he wanted to see how far he could take it. He had met Justin Timberlake at an audition, but both didn't get the part and went their separate ways. Justin was in on the idea, and since his Mickey Mouse Club co-star and friend JC Chasez already childhood friends with Joey Fatone, Chris co-worker and friend at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida, the four got together and talked out a plan. That plan evetually lead to what was to become 'N Sync.

The four got along great together and sounded excellent whenever they sang. But they felt as if they were missing something. A member, perhaps? Justin called his former music teacher and asked if they was any musically talented students he had heard of, after the four seached dedicatedly, but unsuccessful, around Orlando for the possible 5th member of their band. Justin's teacher gave them the number of Lansten Bass, who had moved with his family from Mississippi. Justin called Lance up and asked him to come and sing for them.

Lance came to their audition reluctantly, and sang for them. The four men loved Lance's voice and wanted him to join the group. But Lance, who had no prior intentions of going into the entertainment business, said no. After hours of convincing, Lance took a chance and gave in.

The band practiced heavily on their song and dance routines. But were undecided on a name for there band. Justin's mother had come on with the name 'N Sync. The guys liked it, but later found out that she had gotten the names for the boy's names. JustiN, ChriS, JoeY, LansteN, and JC

'N Sync released their debut album in the USA, in early 1998. Their First single: I Want You Back, was hit on the dance charts, and 'N Sync when flying into the music world with a bang! Now almost 7 months later, 'N Sync released their second and third singles: Tearin' Up My Heart and God Must've Spent A Little More Time On You. They have stolen hearts of many girls world wide and I can't even get concert tickets!!!! Oh well, to have their music to listen to is more than enough! After all, they are keeping thier wonderful music 'N Sync!!!
