Winslet was born and raised in England. She was first nominated for an Oscar for her role in Sense And Sensibility. She won her second Oscar nomination for Titanic is 1998.
DiCaprio was raised in West Virginia. He started acting in TV commercials but got his major role in the last season of the popular TV show Growing Pains, as Luke. Then he moved on to small movie rolls until he portrayed the retarded little brother of Jonny Depp in "What's Eating Gilbert Grape?" Through that role, he earned an Oscar nomination.
Garber is best known for his work in the theatre, having been nominated for four Tony Awards. Some of his other films: Sleepless In Seattle; Walt Disney's Cinderella (1997); Light Sleeper; and the First Wives Club.
Actor: Billy Zane who plays Cal Hockley, fiance of Rose. This character is fictional.

Bates won her first Oscar when she starred opposite of James Caan in Stephen King's Misery in 1990. But Bates is no stranger to the big screen, television, or theatre for that matter. Like one of her Titanic co-stars, Victor Garber, Bates was nominated for a Tony Award for her role of a suicidal daughter in the Broadway play " 'night, Mother". After that success, came many others including: Fried Green Tomatos, Dolores Claiborne, A Home Of Their Own, and Stephen King's "The Stand".
Nucci, no stranger to the big screen, but you or I could spend the rest of our lives trying to figure out where we seen this familiar face before! Nucci is more or less an old pro to the acting world. With most of his roles being is big blockbuster hits like: Eraser, The Rock, Crimison Tide, Alive, Blind Justice, and The Big Squeeze. Don't let this guy's Italian accent in Titanic throw you off if you think you might have seen him before!
Fisher is another Hollywood native. But if you want to find her, you'll have to look hard. A film career dating back to 1983, Fisher has starred in many roles such as: Wild America, Unforgiven, Welcome Home - Roxy Carmichael, L.A. Story and Striptease.
Actor: Jonathan Hyde who plays Bruce Ismay. This character is a real person.
Hyde, like many of his Titanic co-stars, is no stranger to Hollywood. His other hits being: Anaconda, Jumanji, Mobsters, Richie Rich, and Being Human.
Hill is probably the best choice to have played the Titanic's Captain as he bears a striking resemblance to the real E.J. Smith. His other films consist of: The Ghost In The Darkness, The Wind In The Willows, Boy Soilders, and Drowning By Numbers.
Warner's film career started in 1991 when he landed a role in the movie Blue Tornado, he work his way up through many films, some of which being blockbusters, such as Scream 2. Warner is working on a new movie called The Leading Man.
Paxton, who, more than likely, is the oldest Hollywood blockbuster actor in the entire cast, has not only been in more blockbuster films than I can count, but has also, after Titanic, been under the direction of James Cameron 5 times now. With his other hits, under Cameron's direction are: The Terminator, Aliens, Navy S.E.A.L.S., and True Lies. He also starred in other blockbusters such as: 1996's Twister, The Preditor 2, Tombstone, The Evening Star, and Apollo 13. (Just to name a few... lots more listed!)
Stuart, the oldest acting verteran in the cast, who was actually on the Titanic when she was 1 and a half years of age. With a film career starting in 1932, this 87 year old actress is the oldest woman to have been nominated for her role as Rose Calvert in Titanic. These are her more recent films dating back to 1982, My Favorite Year, Mass Appeal, and Wildcats. Her other films, dating back to 1932 can be found own a local movie browser link.
Amis's film career started in with Fandango, with other films such as 1989's Twister and the hit movie Blown Away.
